Beviva's travel-friendly PURPO line was inspired by founder Sylvia Tam's personal journey to wellness as one of 70 million Americans living with a gastrointestinal disorder. Following a diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis in 2011, a form of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Sylvia battled debilitating symptoms daily while juggling a demanding career and three energetic kids. She worked in the gluten-free food industry for nine years, bringing food alternatives to the Celiac and Autistic community. Now, she is determined to create innovative snack solutions for people to eat digestive friendly on the hop.

Beviva stands for the names Benjamin, Viani, and Vanessa - the children of founder Sylvia Tam and the "why" behind the brand. Based in Upland California, Beviva Foods a snack company dedicated to making fuss-free, flavorful & nourishing food for those seeking a healthy lifestyle or are living with digestive sensitivities. The company’s mission is a reflection of Sylvia's personal battle with Ulcerative Colitis, and her passion for helping others.

While no one diet fits all, Beviva believes certain food choices can minimize abdominal discomfort and inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. We combine the research of Western and Chinese medicine with Sylvia's personal IBD experiences to develop sweet and savory functional and hypoallergenic snacks for all ages to enjoy. Our goal is to help people with IBD or digestive sensitivities snack more nutritiously and more often by offering convenient mini meals they can take anywhere and enjoy anytime.
